Great birthday present.

Well my Birthday is almost here and I surfed the web looking for what I want. This little thing caught my eye. It's an electronic pot that tells you it's needs via a series of pictograms on an LCD display. It uses sensors to find the plant's moisture level, temperature and it even can be updated via a usb cable so it can take optimal care of your specific plant type. I so want this! The only problem is that it doesn't exist yet, and it'll probably cost $1000+ if it did exist. Maybe in 20 years they might get around to actually making one of these.

How cool is that? There is botanicals which can do basically the same thing but without the lcd faces. Although it does call/text you to tell you when it needs water.

I don't think text messages are the best way to tell you that your plant needs watering, especially since each text message is around 20 cents. But if you have a phone plan with unlimited text, then it sounds pretty neat.
